About the Band
Iron Lasso was founded in 1999, dazzling audiences from Montana to California with fast picking and that high, lonesome sound. Original members Cisco Cardanio, Mitchell Perez, Pistol Dick Oakland, and Lieutenant Eddy Diamond built the band from the ground up then disappeared into the fog on top of Bald Knob. Bluegrass was played, fun was had, pancakes where thrown.
They've since passed the torch to the next generation of middle aged people, who carry the sound forward today — solitary mandolin breaks, driving guitar, and growling banjo rolls sometimes stacked under harmonies two or three deep. Call it bluegrass with the bark still on.
