Rebirth 8.12.07

I've hung up my walking shoes, no more will I play for Hit and Run. It was quite the experience. I've learned a great many things on the road - for all of which I'm thankful. I wish them the best of luck on there way to the top. But alas things must change. Never fear the Iron Lasso has reformed like some monster transformer to save the universe by assault of a rare from of far from perfect but strangely attractive bluegrass (hows that for a bad sentance..). Come see us at the old post 9.28.07. Thanks and good night.

Epiphany 3.28.07

I'm in Mexico, let me tell it's the poop. The beach and cold beer can work miracles. This is the most time I've had in awhile to let my mind wander. Here's what i've come up with:

Site Redesign 02.03.07

Whew... Been a while since I've updated, posted some new tunes. Check out the Audio Video Page for a Hit & Run Bootleg recorded at Gray Fox. Sound quality is so so, lots of wind.

Update from the road 06.23.06

Life on the road, what a trip. Check the schedule at HitandRunBleugrass

Update 02.23.05

It's official, I am the new banjo player for the Hit and Run Bluegrass Band. Yippee I love it. The bands great, the music's great, the fans are great, Colorado's great. However I'm not left much to for doodling on the web, oh well maybe in the future. I have moved to Boulder, place is a trip it's like missoula on steroids. Thank goodness every one has their shakra's in line. PS, you can check out my schedule at the hit and run site also for you computer nerds I added some links on my links page (probly stuff you've already seen).

Update 12.14.05

Lorenzo Gangi 'Fistful of Lonesome' CD Merry-happy Christmas, Hanukkah, Kawanza, Festivus (for the rest of us)... What a wonderful time of the year. I think Montana becomes the coldest place on the planet during the month of december. Oh well, I need to stay indoors and fool with computers banjos and what-have-you. Good News!! The CD is done!! Thanks to everyone involved. Things are going good the end product seems to be well received, I getting some radio play, and complements on the design and music (a big shout out to Mike Kear - Music From Foggy Hollow).Click on the Products Page to listen or order.

CD Almost Done!! 10.04.05

My CD should be done by the 2? of this month I sent it off a few days ago to get mastered. . I opted to go with the name "Fistful of Lonesome". If you don't understand why rent kentucky fried movie, there's a mini-movie on the end called "Fistful of Yen". Watch it and you'll understand why.

Welcome to My New Site 8.29.05

Please excuse the mess I'm still working on this new site, it should be fully operational in couple weeks. I've tested it in IE and Firefox if you have problems with different browser please let me know.

Making a cd is quite a process, what better way to spend thousands of dollars? The good news is I almost have everyone recorded! I still have to record all the banjo, do the case design, and ship it off to get mixed mastered - yikes. It should be out late September? I better go practice.

What's Crackin 3.15.05

That's right the Ironlasso came apart at the seems. Who would have thought? Sorry to all the fans. It was fun while it lasted. Ivan moved off to North Carolina, presumably to get closer to the roots of lonesome. Mason signed on with Chris Stewart and Back country. It's a kick ass band check them out or pick up their cd's if you get a chance. Sherba and Fred started another bluegrass band with Jeff Trask and Damien Mast. This new band has been rightfully been dubbed Wild By Nature. Let me tell you it's wild! As for myself I'm staying busy becoming a web guru / database programmer, and cutting a new solo cd (details below).

The solo cd. Kind of daunting task don't you think. I never though It was in my nature to record a "solo" cd, but here we go. I'm supposed to start arranging and laying down dummy tracks this saturday. The good news is I got some kick ass people to help me sound good. Paul Lee, Ivan Rosenberg, Eric Uglum, Mason Tuttle, Julie Elkins, and Fred Kellner are on board so far. I'm psyched. Email me any ideas for names, how about "Han Solo" or "Acoustic Kung Fu"? Yea buddy!

The Band Doomed 2-?

Thanks for stopping buy. The Ironlasso bluegrass band is no more, consequently this site is slowly being turned into my (Lorenzo Gangi aka Larry aka Big Lar aka Lt.Ed Diamond) personal site for web development / bluegrass / dog breeding / or whatever else I get into (don't those topics coincide). Hopefully I'll get around to sprucing it up by doing a nice css redesign but I'm not crossing my fingers and you shouldn't either. Please take a look around.
